Do You Even Analyze, Bro?

More Fun with ChatGPT Lit Analysis

Okay, so last ish we posed the quesh: Do you think about what you read? If you missed it or are new to our menagerie, you can scope that here:

As you recall (or can see, if you just took a peek), I used ChatGPT to analyze what I’d written. I did this as a kind of semi-objective check of the prose, akin to how we frequently use electronic tools like spellcheck or the Hemingway Editor.

It seemed to pique some interest, so today I’m back at it again!

This time, I fed it the Teresa’s Backbone chapter called “Down the Axon Highway …

But! I’m going to present this to y’all a bit differently than I did last time.

This time out, I want to ask you a series of preliminary questions, and then we will get into how the chatbot did.

Answer the questions before you read (or re-read) the piece, m’kay?

Here are the questions:

  1. How familiar are you with neurology?
  2. How about music? More specifically, classic rock or prog rock?
  3. Have you read my previous novel, SOMA?
  4. How familiar are you with airports?
  5. Have you read my previous novel, The Grand Story of Not? (At least through chapter 67)
  6. What do you think of when you think of three sisters?
  7. Are you familiar with Revelation 6? And have you read my previous novel Be a Dark Horse! … well, no, cos it’s only halfway done. But some of you may have read some of it, so. I’ll leave the question.

Okay. Now, have a(nother) look at the chapter:

If you were to analyze the piece, what might you come up with? Let us know, and then I’ll spill on what the robot said.

Happy end o’ the weekend, yo!

Xoxo,
